50 Local Students Participate in EXPRESS CAMP
This week, the Prindle Institute welcomed 50 students from Putnam County and the surrounding areas for this year’s EXPRESS CAMP. The EXPRESS CAMP program is a week-long summer camp experience co-designed with and led by local Putnam County K-5 educators that’s designed to teach primary school students how to actively engage with others who might have different views, while also encouraging them to develop, clarify, and express their own fundamental values.
Of this year’s camp experience, Camp counselor and Prindle Institute Hillman Intern Bach Phan said, “Although the week went by very quickly, I was able to develop meaningful relationships with many students. Getting to know them and teaching our outdoor ethics mini-lessons will be one of my most memorable experiences here.”
