Movie Night: You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown

Join us for a family movie night with the Peanuts gang. In You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown, Linus runs for school president, and the kids of the neighborhood learn what it takes to campaign, persuade and earn a vote.

It is a funny, familiar story that raises real questions about elections. What makes a good candidate? What do we owe the people we vote for, and what do they owe us? Bring the whole family, and stay to talk it over.

About the Film

First broadcast in 1972, the animated special is based on the comic strip by Charles M. Schulz. It is a good fit for all ages and a lighthearted way into the themes of Voices and Votes: Democracy in America.
