Hillman Panel: The Ethics of AI Usage in Education and the Workforce
A Hillman Intern Panel Discussion
This panel will focus on the way Generative AI is transforming the landscapes of higher education and the workforce, prompting questions about the value of higher education, intellectual curiosity, and the capabilities of future employees. Proponents of generative AI praise the technology’s accessibility and efficiency in a globalized world. Opponents of AI are concerned with the technology’s environmental impact and its unregulated nature. Join us to hear from faculty and students as they engage in the ethics of generative AI use in higher education and the workforce. Join us for a conversation with educators, researchers, and students who are thinking critically about AI’s role in their fields. Panelists will discuss the opportunities and risks AI presents, the importance of transparency and accountability, and how we can ensure that AI serves human flourishing rather than undermining it.
