CONFERENCE ON CAREER EDUCATION: APRIL 12-13, 2027

Career Education: Ethical Opportunities, Practical Challenges

A brand new two-day conference, sponsored jointly by DePauw University and Denison University, brings together leaders in career education and faculty from across liberal arts colleges, with a focus on the nature of their partnership and its essential role in student support. Through engaged conversations and panel discussions, the conference aims to candidly explore emerging ethical issues for career educators, and to surface and examine practical solutions to the urgent concerns faculty and college leaders face.

The conference begins at noon on April 12, 2027, and runs through the evening of April 13 at the Prindle Institute for Ethics in Greencastle, Indiana.

Guiding Questions

What do we owe students?

Two questions anchor the conversation.

01

What kind of career education do colleges owe to their students?

02

How can ethical advice and self-reflection prepare students in the face of significant uncertainty about the future of work?

Register as a team

We ask that each college or university send a team that includes at least one faculty member and at least one career services professional. There is no registration fee, and modest funding is available to help offset travel and lodging. Because resources are limited, please request funding only if you do not have support from your home institution.
