December 12 - December 13

Philosophy Beyond the Major: A Conference for Faculty and Administrators

December 12 - December 13 at The Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics 2961 W County Road 225 S
Greencastle, IN 46135 United States

Join us at the Prindle Institute for Ethics for an interactive conference that brings together faculty and administrators to reimagine philosophy’s place across the academy. Over two days, we’ll explore how philosophical thinking can be meaningfully integrated with other disciplines—and how we can communicate its value beyond the traditional major.

This event is supported by the Prindle Institute in collaboration with the American Philosophical Association and the IU Indianapolis School of Liberal Arts. The conference begins at noon on December 12 and concludes by 3:00 PM on December 13. Lunch will be provided on both days, along with dinner on December 12. Lodging is available at the Inn at DePauw. Please register by December 1, 2025 to confirm your attendance. Questions may be directed to Jeff Dunn, Director of the Prindle Institute for Ethics.
