Helping high school students lead.
Ethical leadership is a critical business skill. It is positively related to job satisfaction and engagement, organizational commitment and decreases exit intentions. Research shows that moral intelligence is an important—if not the most important—component in effective leadership. Our Ethical Leadership Conference will engage high school students with a series of interactive workshops led by DePauw faculty and staff designed to develop their ethical reasoning and leadership skills.
The 2025 Conference
Join us on September 8, 2025 for the Prindle Institute’s Second Annual Business and Ethical Leadership Conference. This one-day event in collaboration with the DePauw School of Business and Leadership aims to foster dialogue and learning at the crossroads of business success and ethical decision-making. This conference is specially designed for high school students, who will engage in interactive workshops with Attendees industry professionals, academics, and faculty.
Our 2025 conference will feature:
- A workshop on ethical blind spots, designed to help participants recognize and address unconscious biases in decision-making
- Sessions on corporate social responsibility and leading diverse teams, reflecting the growing importance of these topics in modern business environments
- Discussions on emerging technologies, with expert-led talks on artificial intelligence and business analytics and their ethical implications
- Informal networking periods, allowing attendees to connect and share experiences
- A guided tour of the DePauw University campus, highlighting opportunities and academic offerings for students
The conference runs from 9:00 AM to approximately 8:00 PM, with a varied schedule of activities taking place in different locations around the Prindle Institute and DePauw campus. Lunch and dinner will be provided, offering further opportunities for informal discussion and reflection on the day’s topics.
