Moral Reasoning Certificate Program

Explore ethics at DePauw University

These are challenging times, and with each day that passes, we confront ever more difficult issues. This June, the Prindle Institute is offering rising senior high school students the opportunity to participate in a free virtual course in which they will explore and discuss current events through an ethical lens. In addition to developing critical thinking and writing skills, upon completing the course, students will earn a certificate of completion.

Program Information

This discussion-based course starts in the middle to late summer. Keep this page bookmarked and check it often for more specific information.

During the course, students will…

  • identify and submit ethics-in-the-news topics for discussion.
  • participate in six weekly hour-long discussions facilitated by Prindle Institute
    representatives.
  • craft a 2-3 page reflection piece on an ethical issue happening in current
    events.

Interested students must fill out the application form below to be considered for the summer 2021 program. Please contact Emily Knuth (eknuth@depauw.edu) with any questions about the application or the program.
