Summer Research Retreat

Engage and reflect with other leading scholars

Our seven-day summer research retreat and workshop allows scholars to deeply engage in extended dialogues about one another’s work. The retreat provides participants with time and space to write in a peaceful setting perfect for intense reflection and focus. Participants also have plenty of time to enjoy meals and social events with one another.

The current Schaenen scholar determines the theme of the retreat. Past retreat topics include: applied epistemology, ethics and epistemology in the archives, and moral epistemology.
